Marc Andre Way
President, Canadian Taxi Association
Mr. Marc Andre Way is the current President of the Canadian Taxi Association. He has a Bachelors Degree in Commerce with Honours from the University of Ottawa with a specialty in Marketing, Management and Finance. Mr. Way is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Coventry Connections in Ottawa since 2004; moreover he prides himself on carrying his family’s business as Co-owner Capital Taxi. He has over 25 years of experience in ground transportation with extensive experience in both taxis and limousine/executive sedan business as well as hands-on responsibility in running businesses related to real estate and corporate finance.
As an active member in the community Mr. Way holds a seat on the Transportation Committee of the Greater Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and the Taxi Advisory Committee of the City of Ottawa. He is also a member of National Limousine Association as well as the Taxicab, Limousine, Paratransit Association.

Kurt Enders
Vice President, Canadian Taxi Association
Kurt is the President of Checker Transportation Group in Calgary Alberta. In the 20 years as a dedicated and contributing member of his family business, Kurt has worked in all facets of the business.
Checker has proudly been servicing the transportation needs of Calgarians for over 40 years. Checker has grown from twelve full-sized luxury sedans, with drivers attired in suits into a full service transportation company that proudly has a fleet that consists of: 80 wheelchair accessible vans; 823 taxis
Over the past 25 years, Kurt has worked to maintain his core commitment to quality service, ongoing education, innovative technology, with the knowledge that a strong family is integral to being a better leader — a value instilled to him by his parents at a very young age.
Kurt’s contribution to the livery industry could well be summed up as driven by reputation. He knows better than anyone that it is not about where you go – it is how you get there.

Brian Herman
Director, Canadian Taxi Association
Brian is the President and Operations Manager of Casino Taxi Limited in Halifax Nova Scotia. Brian holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University and joined the family business in 2001.
Casino Taxi, was founded in 1928 and is currently in its 3rd generation family ownership and operation. As a taxi dispatch company, Casino Taxi’s key focus is to deliver consistent, reliable, and equitable dispatch services to its 400+ independent contractor drivers, and countless end user consumers.
Brian credits the success of Casino Taxi to its management team which includes his sister, a Chartered Accountant, his wife an MBA and Certified Management Accountant, and his Brother in Law, an MCSE certified computer specialist.

Kristine Hubbard
Kristine Hubbard is Operations Manager at Beck Taxi Limited.
Beck is a family-run business, and Kristine is third-generation management. She has been with Beck for more than 30 years, has worked in every department in the company and now oversees major projects.
Phil Strong
Treasurer, Canadian Taxi Association
Phil has been in the taxi industry since 1980 and is currently the President of Greater Edmonton Taxi Service Inc. (GETS) which operates 4 brands in Edmonton Alberta. Yellow Cab, Barrel Taxi, Prestige Cabs, and Checker Cab have proudly served Edmontonians for many years with courteous professional drivers providing quality service. Yellow Cab as the senior fleet, has been serving Edmonton since 1945.
As a member of Edmonton’s business community Mr. Strong is the Chair of the City’s Industry Advisory Group (IAG). He is also a member of the Edmonton Executive Association (EEA), National Limousine Association (NLA), and Taxicab, Limousine, Paratransit Association (TLPA).
Phil believes that sharing ideas and best practise between taxi companies is essential in re-energizing our industry to meet the challenges we are facing today and in the future.

Agne Butkute
Executive Assistant, Canadian Taxi Association
Agne joined Taxi Industry in 2014, bringing over 6 years of experience in both Hospitality Industry and an executive environment. She acts as an Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Coventry Connections. Prior to working with Coventry Connections, Agne worked at Ivey Spencer Leadership Center in London, ON. Agne has foreign education in Applied Mathematics, has graduated in Hospitality Management, and is currently working on a Business Accounting Diploma at Algonquin College.
